The Intellectual Property Law Association of Florida ("IPLA-Florida") is an organization of legal professionals, law students, and administrators interested in the practice of patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and internet law.
Join us and our guest panel of IP Law experts from Brazil, Jamaica and Argentina to learn about recent developments in IP Enforcement in South America and the Caribbean.
For intellectual property issues outside of the United States, much of the focus is on developments in Europe and Asia. However, IP practitioners in Florida are geographically positioned to serve clients who do business in Central and South America as well as in the Caribbean. This unique opportunity demands an understanding of the major intellectual property developments beyond our borders. However, with more than 30 nations spread across Latin America and the Caribbean, staying aprised of local developments is no easy task! Thus, whether your practice involves trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property rights, you won't want to miss our next event!
Let's face it - practicing intellectual property law in Florida is the best! Not only do we work close to the beach, but between January and April, the weather is awesome. Yep - life here certainly beats being stuck indoors or battling through the bitter cold and snow that our colleagues up north deal with. We're very lucky.
But it takes the hard work of countless volunteers to keep our State beautiful (and our northern colleagues envious). To help with that effort, the Intellectual Property Law Association of Florida invites you to come on out to this year's beach clean-up at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park!
